We can offer emergency conversion across a wide range of luminaires and light sources from LED to fluorescent and tungsten. We are able to provide integral and remote 3-hour maintained, non-maintained, self-test and addressable emergency conversion in a comprehensive list of products. This includes vapour proofs, floodlights, wall lights as well as low and high bay luminaires requiring a higher output module.
In addition, we stock a full range of European manufactured emergency exit signs, boxes and spotlights as well as the emergency components themselves from Tridonic, One-Lux, Osram, Liteplan etc.
Bespoke Emergency Solutions
Spear Lighting has the capability to offer bespoke emergency solutions to cover unique situations and even the most challenging requirements. We provide discreet, aesthetic emergency luminaires as well as some to suit potentially explosive and other harsh environments. Furthermore, we can accommodate specific lumen output requirements in emergency and change the specification of luminaires, by altering the LED module/array and driver for example or installing sensor controls.
Our expertise extends to central battery system solutions including slave or hold-off operation. The company provides slave fluorescent and LED exit boxes, signs and bulkheads in 24V, 50V and 110V.

Rigorous Testing
High-quality components from all the leading manufacturers are utilised to ensure that the emergency control gear used is appropriate for the forward operating voltage and output current of the LED module/array as well as the physical space available within the luminaire.
This guarantees optimum performance and an accurate emergency ballast lumen factor for the entire 3-hour operation. Every luminaire is thoroughly tested to ensure that there are no thermal management issues which could cause the premature failure of the LED modules.
Complete Retrofit Service
Our specialist knowledge enables us to convert old-style fluorescent luminaires to modern, energy-saving LED technology while still incorporating 3-hour maintained or independent non-maintained emergency. Some lamps with non-standard operating characteristics may require testing to ensure that they can run as an emergency light source.
